Contract/Project Controller at Saab

Saab is now looking for a driven and business-oriented Contract/Project Controller to strengthen Saab's team within Business Area Finance.

Aviation Services, a business unit within Saab Aeronautics, offers a wide range of services and integrated support solutions to customers in both defense and commercial markets. The business unit's mission is to ensure cost-effective support of systems and platforms throughout their lifecycle.

Saab is in an expansive phase with several ongoing contracts, projects, and new business opportunities. To meet this need, Saab is now seeking a driven and business-oriented Contract/Project Controller who can strengthen Business Area Finance and contribute financial expertise in a growing operational area.

About the position

In this role, you will have a central position where you work closely with our contract managers, project leaders, and other functions within the organization. You will be responsible for one of our larger contracts or projects and contribute to creating positive business effects.

Your overall responsibility is to provide early financial indicators to management, ensure that Saab's accounting rules are followed, and contribute to stable and proactive financial work.

Your main responsibilities

As a Contract/Project Controller, you will:

Be an economic co-pilot to the contract manager/project leader
Monitor and manage financial aspects of programs and projects
Follow up, analyze, and report financial outcomes
Prepare budgets and forecasts
Provide active support in financial matters within contracts and projects
Analyze outcomes and forecasts and initiate actions for improved profitability
Understand how changes, risks, and opportunities affect the economy
Work proactively and contribute to a transparent, inclusive environment
Collaborate closely with other controllers and contribute to the improvement of processes, systems, and internal controls

You will be part of the Aviation Services Finance team and report to responsible managers and contract managers within the business unit.

We see that you have:

Relevant bachelor's or master's degree in finance
Several years of experience in Contract/Project Controlling
Business-oriented mindset and good understanding of project management
Very good communication skills in Swedish and English

It is advantageous if you have:

Experience with Unit4/Agresso
Knowledge of Mercur
Experience with IFS
